Saints Football Fridays are more than just a watching a game. Last season, Interlake High School embarked on an entire day devoted to the spirit and atmosphere of a great sports setting. Beginning with the purchase of our schools color Columbia Blue official “Saints Football Friday” T- shirt, students, faculty, parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends all showed the same spirit by wearing the shirt on the Friday of Interlake High School Football games in the fall. This t-shirt is changing the entire culture of Interlake Football and giving a label to an entire day of excitement leading up to the game in the evening. It is so great to have students walking around all day in class, in the halls and in the lunchroom wearing the shirts. It is also extremely exciting to see and have parents, family and friends wearing these shirts at their workplace and around town on Game Day. It creates so much momentum for our players going into their game and really creates a buzz around the Interlake community.
Saints Football Fridays are more than just a game! We will be continuing the theme into the 2008 season and expect to continue this tradition. As our school grows, so does our football program.
